Studying Natural Light
These two shots of Sonia were taken using only natural light from a the large window in front of her, and also by bouncing some of the light onto her with a reflector.
I decided to shoot one of the photos in black and white to help convey mood in the photo. A feeling of longing seems to be conveyed from the gaze in the black and white image, where as the coloured image seems to suggest that her gaze is that of hope.
